1-2-1 MHFAider Supervision Session
Professional guidance and support for dedicated Mental Health First Aiders.
Service Description
Our 1-2-1 MHFAider Supervision Sessions provide a confidential, supportive space for MHFAiders to reflect on their role, build confidence, strengthen boundaries, and protect their own wellbeing while supporting others. These sessions are designed to ensure MHFAiders feel safe, supported, and equipped — not overwhelmed or isolated in the role. During a supervision session, we may explore: Reflecting on challenging conversations or situations Managing emotional impact and avoiding burnout or compassion fatigue Building confidence in using the MHFAider role appropriately Understanding boundaries, safeguarding, and signposting Developing communication and listening skills Navigating workplace dynamics and psychologically safe conversations Supporting neurodiverse or distressed colleagues sensitively Recognising when to escalate concerns Strengthening personal resilience and self-care practices Celebrating successes and recognising the impact being made Sessions are facilitated in a compassionate, non-judgemental, and psychologically safe environment where MHFAiders can openly discuss experiences, ask questions, and gain practical guidance. Supervision is not counselling or therapy. Instead, it is a professional reflective practice that helps MHFAiders remain effective, confident, and emotionally well in their role.
